I’ve never really been that sporty a person. Ever since I was in first grade, my parents forced me to go to German School on saturdays so I couldn’t do any team sports like soccer because all the games were then. I decided to start Karate in 3rd grade. For six years, I took Kenpo Karate and I made it all the way up to a (junior) black belt! Unfortunately, I couldn’t keep taking Karate in high school because of the time it required. I credit karate, however, for teaching me a lot of values about discipline and helping get into playing more sports. I’ll do lots of posts on different Karate skills, but today I’ll just show you how to use nunchaku (pronounced nunchucku, or I usually just say nunchucks), a kind of weapon that is mostly used for show:
